WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Education, Research and Practice

The Department of Nursing and Community Health brings together academics and clinical staff who have expertise and are passionate about nursing (adult; child; mental health and learning disability) public health, health education, social action and community health.
As a WHO collaborating centre the Department of Nursing and Community Health contributes to the WHO technical programme on Human Resources for Health by identifying models of good nursing and midwifery practice,  and collecting evidence to support evidence-informed decision making. It also supports WHO efforts in strengthening nursing education at national, regional and global levels.
