Economics of Healthy and Active Ageing
The Observatory's Economics of Healthy and Active Ageing study series investigates key policy questions associated with population ageing. Bringing together empirical research and country experiences, the project explores what is known about the costs and benefits attributable to population ageing, as well as their respective determinants and available policy options.
Our overall objective is to inspire a “re-think” of the economic consequences of population ageing.
The outputs of this study series will take a variety of brief formats that are accessible, policy relevant, and that can be rapidly disseminated. In addition to those below, for example, a series of reports are now being released: Economics of Healthy and Active Ageing: WHO Western Pacific Region.
