Популяризация ОФА среди социально незащищенных групп
There are notable differences in the levels of health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) between different socioeconomic and cultural subgroups in European countries. This working group aims to develop a greater understanding of ways to work with disadvantaged communities to encourage HEPA. Because physical activity engagement cannot occur in isolation, the goal is to promote HEPA with a wider understanding of the role of social and environmental factors in health.
The working group is led by Dr Niamh Murphy, Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland, and Dr Annemarie Wagemakers, Wageningen University, the Netherlands. The objectives of the working group are:
- to work with other HEPA Europe working groups to embed inclusive approaches in all HEPA promotion activities
- to promote discussion, resource-sharing and information exchange between group members
- to develop best practice guidance for promoting physical activity in disadvantaged communities
- to explore networking and HEPA promotion opportunities with stakeholders outside traditional physical activity and sport circles.
Members of the working group have contributed to the joint WHO–European Commission Directorate General for Health and Consumer Protection (DG SANCO) project “Promoting networking and action on healthy and equitable environments for physical activity” (PHAN) and the development of principles for action on physical activity promotion in socially disadvantaged groups.
Current activities include promoting discussion on evaluation approaches for disadvantaged groups and fostering the integration of HEPA promotion within hard-to-reach groups in the approaches of other HEPA Europe working groups.
