Fact sheet on the SDGs: Sexual and reproductive health (2017)
Good progress has been made in the WHO European Region in some of the key areas of sexual and reproductive health, such as perinatal mortality, maternal mortality, abortion rates and contraception. However, other areas are causing increasing concern, such as infertility, unsafe abortions, and sexually transmitted infections or diseases among adolescents. Cervical cancer is still the second most common cancer among women aged 15 to 44. Many people still lack information on sexuality, family planning, pregnancy or menopause. This fact sheet provides an overview of the issues, facts and figures, indicators, and commitments.
