World Health Day 2020 – Support nurses and midwives

Nurses and midwives make up more than half of the health workforce and provide services from promotion and prevention to treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care, throughout people’s lives – from birth to death. In this International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, World Health Day 2020 will shine a spotlight on the vital role they play in providing quality health and social care, under the slogan “Support nurses and midwives”. The campaign will be used to mobilize action and encourage investments to strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforce.
