Migration and health
Currently, approximately 10% of the population of the WHO European Region is estimated to be migrants. Migration is a growing phenomenon, influencing the health and development of both migrant and host communities. Political and social structures need to respond to the challenges of population movement, specifically by focusing on attaining universal health coverage using the building blocks of health systems.

“Leave No One Behind” film festival in Turkey draws attention to refugee and migrant healthDuring its inaugural 7 day-long film festival entitled "Leave No One Behind", WHO Turkey showcased 6 documentaries and 1 fictional film, which focused on the lives of refugees and migrants forced to leave one country and set up home in another.
