Turkey

The WHO Country Office in Turkey was established in 1959 in Ankara as the focal point for WHO technical cooperation in the country. Its priorities are set out in the biennial collaborative agreement between WHO/Europe and Turkey. The Office implements the agreement in close collaboration with national institutions and international partner agencies.

“Leave No One Behind” film festival in Turkey draws attention to refugee and migrant health

During its inaugural 7 day-long film festival entitled "Leave No One Behind", WHO Turkey showcased 6 documentaries and 1 fictional film, which focused on the lives of refugees and migrants forced to leave one country and set up home in another.

European Immunization Week

Each year in April, EIW promotes the core message that the immunization of every child is vital to prevent diseases and protect life. The goal of the region-wide campaign is to increase vaccination coverage by raising awareness of the importance of immunization.
