San Marino
San Marino is situated on the Italian Peninsula on the north-eastern side of the Apennine Mountains. In San Marino, during the period 1995 – 2000, the main noncommunicable diseases accounted for about 85% of all deaths in and external causes for about 5%. Life expectancy at birth is higher than the European Region and European Union averages, both for males and for females.
