Partners in health in the European Region
WHO/Europe has established and institutionalized corporate relations with key health and health-related agencies in the European Region. It manages the partnerships centrally, and they often work at multiple levels: high-level, technical and country-level cooperation. WHO/Europe’s key strategic partners share many of its areas of interest and activity.
WHO’s key partners in the European Region are naturally the European Union and its institutions, sister United Nations agencies, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and the GAVI Alliance. In addition, WHO/Europe programmes work with a wide range of other partners, including subregional networks, other intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations, and many nongovernmental and civil-society organizations.
