In May 2014, the WHO Regional Office for Europe organized a technical meeting to discuss the evidence for air pollution health effects and propose expert advice on the best options and methods to estimate health risks from air pollution and its sources. The workshop proposed an overview of available indoor and outdoor air pollution health risk assessment methods and tools and
identified general principles as well as appropriate methods and tools for conducting air pollution health risk assessment for various scenarios and purposes. The meeting provided relevant advice to inform a variety of health risk assessment efforts at local, national and international scales.
