Dr Jo Asvall, 1985-2000
WHO
Jo E Asvall was born in Norway in 1931 and qualified as a doctor in 1956.
He championed the development of the WHO European Region “Health for All” strategy, with targets from concept to practical application in local communities and institutions across the now 53 countries in the Region.
