Minister of Health and Social Protection of Albania calls on women to take action to detect breast cancer

In line with WHO’s global position paper and guidance on mammography screening, the Ministry of Health of Albania launched a nationwide breast cancer screening campaign.
The WHO Country Office in Albania supports the efforts of Ms Ogerta Manastirliu, Minister of Health and Social Protection, as she calls on women to take part in free breast cancer screening in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Do not postpone your appointment,” urges Ms Manastirliu. “It only takes 30 minutes and could save your life.”
