Seminar on hospital payment systems in Bulgaria
A policy seminar “Changing the payment system for hospital care in Bulgaria to improve equity and efficiency” will be held 20-21 June 2011 in Sofia.
This workshop is envisioned to serve as the starting point of an ongoing effort to assist Bulgaria in the development and reform of its provider payment systems within the context of the overall health financing and delivery system. The technical policy seminar intends to provide Bulgarian decision makers an overview of the current status and developments in the field of hospital payment mechanisms in Europe (e.g. global budgets, fixed rates per admission or per diem, case-based payments like DRGs, etc.).
