An excellent understanding of the level of, and trends in, disease burden and how these have been (and can be) influenced by the implementation of prevention and treatment interventions is of considerable importance to national health programmes, as well as international donor agencies. It can help to ensure the appropriate allocation of funding and ultimately help to save more lives in the future. This report delivers tuberculosis epidemiological and impact analyses conducted as part of the tuberculosis programme review, as inputs to health sector reviews and for the epidemiological stage of the Global Fund’s new funding model, as supported by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova.
