Tobacco or Health Forum in the Russian Federation

On 31 May 2013, the Tobacco or Health Forum was organized in Kazan, Russian Federation, by the Parliamentarian Committee on Health Issues and Science. It was supported by the Ministry of Health and WHO.

The Forum centered on acute problems regarding tobacco control in the Russian Federation including the enforcement of recently adopted tobacco-control law and the low tobacco taxes. Participants included prominent medical experts, political and public leaders, VIP government officials, journalists and NGOs’ experts.
