Workshop on current requirements to pharmacoeconomic studies, 15–19 December 2014, Moscow, Russian Federation

First Moscow Medical university of Sechenov with support from WHO/Europe organized a workshop to provide countries with the updates on current requirements to pharmacoeconomics studies. The  aim of the workshop is to increase participants understanding in the basics of applied health economics and to faciliate application of health ecomonics into practice at national level.

Participants include representatives from Drug agencies, Ministries of health, health insurance funds and academia from Armenia, Azerbaijan,  Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Theoretical part of the workshop was supported by practical exersices where participants were able to implement pharmacoeconomic modelling as a tool for decision making and explore the basic principles of health technology assessment.
