Guidelines International Network (G-I-N), Germany

HEN technical member since 2005.

G-I-N is an international not-for-profit association of organizations and individuals involved in the development and use of clinical practice guidelines. It aims to improve the quality of health care by promoting the systematic development of clinical practice guidelines and their application in practice, through international collaboration.

The initiative, established in 2002, currently comprises of 96 organizations and 117 individual members, representing 69 countries from all continents.

Information available

G-I-N produces the International Guideline Library, which contains the International Guideline Database with over 6500 guidelines, systematic reviews and evidence reports, and the new G-I-N Guideline Tools Inventory. The Library also contains development and training resources, a health topics collection and resources for patients and consumers.

Access to information

Access is free and no password is required. The International Guideline Library has both a public section and a restricted section available only to members.
