Further policy dialogue with Ireland on the impact of financial crisis on health

On 18 June staff from the Barcelona Office for Health System Strengthening, together with colleagues from the European Observatory, conducted a day of further policy dialogue in Ireland. The morning comprised a open meeting hosted jointly by Trinity College Dublin and The Economic and Social Research Institute(ESRI) entitled "Health Systems in the Era of Austerity" at which a number of presentations were made followed by open discussion.

Representatives from a wide range of stakeholders were in the audience. In the afternoon a Policy Dialogue was held with senior officials from the Department of Health to continue a process initiated in 2012 culminating in a published report.
