WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing Education and Practice

The Faculty of Nursing at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in Kaunas aims to educate highly qualified nursing and midwifery among other health professionals. Also, it participates in the development and implementation of health policy and strategies.

As a WHO collaborating centre the Faculty of Nursing strives to support WHO in implementing the European strategic directions for strengthening nursing and midwifery towards Health 2020 goals. It also provides technical advice and consultancy to Member States in developing evidence based nursing education and practice, primarily in Russian speaking countries.
