Increasing access to hepatitis B vaccination for most at-risk populations in the Russian Federation

WHO/Europe, in close collaboration with the WHO Country Office, Russian Federation, is working to identify barriers in access to hepatitis B immunization for the populations most at risk, such as injecting drug users, men who have sex with men, sex workers and people living with HIV.
Based on the findings, the WHO Country Office will develop and implement a joint pilot project on increasing access to hepatitis B immunization for high-risk groups. The project will be implemented in 2010 and financially supported by WHO headquarters and WHO/Europe.
