Informal consultation on the draft regional action plan on invasive mosquito vectors in Europe

The consultation was held to enable the main stakeholders to review in detail the first draft of a regional action plan for the surveillance and control of invasive species of mosquito vectors and re-emerging vector-borne diseases in Europe for 2014–2018, and to recommend any changes before its submission to the Standing Committee of the Regional Committee for consideration and inclusion on the agenda of the 2013 WHO Regional Committee for Europe.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport of the Netherlands, the European Commission, the European Mosquito Control Association (EMCA), the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the University of Wageningen, the Netherlands, WHO headquarters and WHO/Europe participated.
