Report on WHO/Europe’s work in 2010–2011 out now

In a report on her first two years as WHO Regional Director for Europe, “What we’ve achieved together”, Zsuzsanna Jakab describes the work of WHO/Europe with Member States. Highlights include the start of development of a new European health policy, called Health 2020, along with the adoption of five action plans on noncommunicable diseases, the harmful use of alcohol, HIV/AIDS, multidrug- and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis, and antibiotic resistance.
