Executive summary

This meeting of the Steering Committee of HEPA Europe was convened to review progress with implementation of the new work programme and to update on relevant international developments. Applications for membership were also discussed. An update on initial steps of preparation of the 13th annual meeting and 8th conference in November 2017 in Zagreb and on exchange on the events in 2018 were also given and participants selected the host for 2019. The meeting was kindly arranged by the UKK Institute for Health Promotion Research to take place in Helsinki, Finland. It was chaired by Francesca Racioppi, WHO Regional Office for Europe, and attended by 6 members of the Steering Committee in person and 4 members via phone conference connection. The meeting was kindly prepared and assisted by the Epidemiology, Biostatics and Prevention Institute (EBPI), University of Zurich, Switzerland.
