WHO FCTC: Guidelines for Implementation - Article 5.3, Article 8, Article 11 and Article 13

This publication contains the first set of guidelines adopted by the Conference of the Parties at its Second (2007) and Third (2008) sessions. These four guidelines cover a wide range of provisions of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, such as: the protection of public health policies with respect to tobacco control from commercial and other vested interests of the tobacco industry (Article 5.3); protection from exposure to tobacco smoke (Article 8); packaging and labelling of tobacco products (Article 11); and tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship (Article 13). The guidelines are intended to help Parties to meet their obligations under the respective provisions of the Convention.
