The conference covered Italian health policies on tobacco control;

  • Smoking prevention and smokers treatment;
  • Tobacco diseases and smoking cessation benefits;
  • The MILD Project: lung cancer diagnosis prevention;
  • and the National Report on smoking 2008.

The main aim is to support "World No Tobacco Day" by promoting a free-smoke culture in Italy.

Organized by Ministero della Salute, Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche "Mario Negri", Lega Italiana per la lotta contro i tumori.
