The Turkish Ministry of Health organized two roundtable events for provincial tobacco control boards, and one for the hospitality sector, during the WNTD week. The main aim of the meetings was to prepare all key partners for the effective enforcement of the second phase of the smoking ban on the 19 July.

The Minister of Health hosted a working lunch with representatives of  the hospitality sector and trade unions. Discussions centered around the upcoming entry into force of the smoking ban.

On World No Tobacco Day, 31st of May, the Minister organized a press conference together with WHO.
