Housing and health regulations

Housing and construction regulations offer governments and local authorities a wide range of options to improve housing conditions and thus public health.

To explore these opportunities, WHO/Europe reviewed housing and health regulations in selected European countries and formulated policy options that support policy-makers responsible for health and housing in designing housing regulations and/or action plans. A specific review addressed the challenge of thermal comfort and energy supply in housing.
