Report of the 16th meeting of the Joint Convention/ WHO Task Force on Health Aspects of LRTAP

Bonn, Germany, 11-12 June 2013

National focal points on air quality and health and invited experts met to develop advice for the Convention on:

  1. health impacts of particulate matter (PM) and ozone;
  2. use of evidence on health effects of air pollution in the planned revision of the air quality policy of the European Union;
  3. health aspects of biomass combustion for residential heating;
  4. current methodologies and approaches of quantification of burden of disease of air pollution and health impact assessment of air pollution;
  5. monitoring and modeling of health effects of air pollution in the countries signatories of the Convention, in particular in countries of eastern Europe, the Caucasus and central Asia.
