Strengthening capacities for sound management of biocides in Ukraine

In April 2017 WHO/Europe, in cooperation with the O.M. Marzeiev Institute of Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine, launched a project funded through the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) Quick Start Programme. This aims to implement the best European Union practices in sound management of biocides in Ukraine.

An action plan for implementation of sound biocides management by the end of 2018, an improved system for collection and sharing of information and legislation harmonized with European Union requirements will be developed in the framework of the project.
