The review followed up and monitored progress in the implementation of commitments made at the Fourth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health in 2004. The meeting was also an opportunity for countries to further contribute to the development of the agenda of the Fifth Ministerial Conference.
In addition, 51 young people from 28 countries attended a parallel youth conference and presented their ideas to the review participants.
