Side Event ‘Women and Torture’, Women Deliver 4th Global Conference.

The international torture protection framework needs to be applied in a more gender-sensitive manner. This side-event with high-level UN-speakers will address key questions, such as how to enhance the international protection of women against violence and torture, and identify practices of boosting national/local endeavours to prevent and eliminate gender-specific violence.
