The Expert Meeting on Protecting Investments in Health and Maximizing New Opportunities to Advance Health Equity and Well-being was held in Venice, Italy on 14–15 November 2018.

The meeting sought to provide guidance for the continued work on the economic and social impact of health systems within the WHO Regional Office for Europe. It also aimed to strengthen the evidence on the impact of health systems, as well as their relationship with improving equity and sustainability and with national and local development policies.
