Notification and information sharing

A total of 29 of the 49 (59%) public health events that occurred in or were related to the European Region were initially notified to WHO by IHR NFPs and/or through the Early Warning and Response System (EWRS) of the EU. Six of these events, together with the measles situation in the Region, were posted to the restricted Event Information Site, and 5 on the Disease Outbreak News for public awareness.
