Ukraine's humanitarian crisis

WHO

In conflict-affected areas of Ukraine, health systems and workforce are heavily disrupted. WHO and partners have been delivering essential health services to people in these areas through mobile emergency primary health care units and emergency primary health care posts.

WHO has been leading the emergency health response Ukraine since 2014. The conflict has left more than 10 000 dead, innumerable injured and millions displaced or requiring humanitarian assistance. Health facilities on both sides of the conflict have been especially hard hit .

WHO and its partners have responded with a full spectrum of medical assistance to meet the needs of those affected, including at least 1.6 million people who were forced to flee their homes, and 3.4 million people who are estimated to be in need of health-related humanitarian assistance.
