By bringing together 12 global health and development agencies, the Global Action Plan for Healthy Living and Well-being for All (GAP) represents a new commitment to advance collective action and accelerate progress towards health-related global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This report supports the GAP country process in the Kyrgyz Republic by providing an overview of the status of health and well-being in the country related to realization of the health-related SDG targets.
The report is based on a review of national strategic policy and programme documents, a trend and status analysis of more than 60 indicators related to SDG 3 (health and well-being) and interviews with national health experts. The report outlines opportunities for expanded intersectoral collaboration to advance health-related targets and concludes with specific recommendations on potential gaps where technical and financial support may be needed to realize the country's health priorities.
