Partners

Collaboration with stakeholders is at heart of the work of WHO/Europe. The ultimate focus of WHO partnerships is to add value and maximize support to countries, at regional and country level.
Work on preventing chronic respiratory disease spans various focus areas within WHO/Europe including air quality, housing and occupational health, tobacco and socioeconomic determinants.

Collaboration in these and other related areas has been established with institutions such as the International Labour Organization, the European Commission and the World Bank. WHO/Europe continues to explore opportunities for new strategic partnerships, based on shared health values and objectives.

WHO/Europe also works with a collaborating centre dedicated to NCD prevention. The WHO collaborating centres form part of an institutional collaborative network set up by WHO to support its technical work at the country, regional and global levels.
