WHO Collaborating Centre (CC) objectives
- Assist WHO in the development of evidence-based tools and guidance for mental health promotion and prevention.
- Contribute to mental health policy development and patients' empowerment in collaboration with WHO.
Contributions
The WHO CC, together with WHO, provides initiatives to Member States including multisectoral, population-wide projects aimed to promote mental health, and to prevent mental and behavioural disorders through guidance, support and training of professionals at schools, workplaces and older people's residences.
The WHO CC further supports political decision-makers, administrators and stakeholders by providing policy guidelines and recommendations on good practice regarding empowerment of users/patients in mental health, strengthening of mental health services and mental health promotion.
