WHO Collaborating Centre (CC) objectives

  • Assist WHO in the development of evidence-based methodologies on addressing mental and neurological disorders including assessment of patients' satisfaction and medication compliance.
  • Promote WHO's policies, guidance and methodologies in Russian-speaking countries.

Contributions

The WHO CC is a repository for evidence of scientific research in psychology, psychiatry, addiction, neurology and other disciplines studying the human psyche. Furthermore, it provides vocational training with exclusive courses and master classes with psychoneurology experts.

About the Bekhterev Psychoneurological Research Institute

The Institute (formerly named St Petersburg Psychoneurological Research Institute) was founded in 1907. It works to develop new methods and techniques for diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as to improve the quality of life of people living with mental and neurological disorders. The Institute aims to reduce the economic and social burden of mental illness.
