WHO Collaborating Centre (CC) objectives
- Collect and analyse data, in collaboration with WHO, on mental health service provision in Member States.
- Assist WHO in the implementation of the WHO mental health action plan.
Contributions
Together with WHO, the WHO CC aims to increase political, financial and technical commitment in Member States by providing data on trends within institutionalized mental health care, guidance on influential factors and good quality evaluations of projects linked to WHO activities.
It further contributes with reviews on conceptual issues and evidence on quality improvement that underpins the development of the European Mental Health Strategy. The WHO CC mainly provides information on availability and accessibility of high-quality mental health services, as well as the provision of effective and safe interventions.
