Webinar for virologists from national influenza centres

The WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza at the Francis Crick Institute (London, United Kingdom) in collaboration with WHO/Europe will organize a webinar for virologists from national influenza centres in the WHO European Region on currently circulating influenza viruses, both seasonal and those with pandemic potential.

John McCauley, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre, will present the webinar. Participants will get an update on currently circulating seasonal influenza viruses and discuss technical laboratory issues, challenges and possible solutions for successful virus isolation and characterization of influenza viruses. The virological overview of zoonotic influenza viruses will also be presented.

During the webinar, participants may submit written or oral questions to the speaker.
