Facebook Live event: Equity and solidarity in health systems

What do equity and solidarity mean in the context of health systems? Why should we care about building – or preserving – health systems based on these principles?
WHO/Europe will host its first Facebook Live event on 7 June at 12:00 CEST, where experts will be on hand to answer these questions and more.
Guest experts will include Dr Hans Kluge, Director of the Division of Health Systems and Public Health at WHO/Europe, and Kaija Kasekamp, Adviser on health-care financing and primary health care for the Ministry of Social Affairs, Estonia. They will be ready to take your questions on how we can transform health systems, move towards universal health coverage and ensure health care is equitable and affordable.
The Facebook Live event will also preview the upcoming celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Tallinn Charter – a groundbreaking commitment made by countries of the WHO European Region to invest in and strengthen health systems to improve people’s health.
