About Regions for Health Network newsletter
Addressing health inequities has become a key factor for public health policies to be effective. This holds true at national, regional and local levels, each within their mandate and responsibility. In this regard, the Regions for Health Network (RHN) focuses on developing good practices at the regional level of government and sharing them. It works within the new European health policy framework – Health 2020 – to accelerate the delivery of innovation and improvement in key areas such as health equity, noncommunicable diseases, social determinants of health, whole-of-government approaches, health intelligence and public health capacity.
The purpose of this newsletter is to share information about the different activities, events and publications under RHN, thereby contributing to current efforts to share information about best practices on public health at regional level.
The newsletter is produced by the WHO European Office for Investment for Health and Development of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, in collaboration with RHN members.
