Improving the system of child disease and injury prevention

Objective 4 of the BELMED project is to improve the system of child disease and injury prevention.
This objective is led by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and WHO.
Activities undertaken towards this objective include a train-the-trainer workshop arranged by WHO in consultation with the Ministry of Health. In order to increase the capacity of trainers involved in under- and postgraduate medical education, the workshop on child injury and violence prevention based on the WHO TEACH-VIP methodology was held on 22–24 May 2017 for national specialists involved in the training of medical staff in the field of child injury prevention.
