Evaluation of fighting HIV/AIDS in Estonia (2008)
Download
This evaluation is taking place at a pivotal time in the history of Estonia’s response to HIV and AIDS. A major Global Fund grant has recently ended and it is now a perfect time to reassess the progress made and the country’s priorities.
This evaluation has been requested by the Ministry of Social Affairs and the National Institute for Health Development (NIHD). It forms part of the collaborative agreement between the Estonian Government and the World Health Organization, to support the scaling up the national response to HIV and AIDS. It is being conducted under the joint auspices of UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) and WHO. It builds on a range of previous WHO work and is expected to feed into the development of UNODC support in Estonia and other Baltic states.
