About TB and M/XDR-TB newsletter

This newsletter aims to provide the latest information on tuberculosis (TB) and multidrug- and extensively drug-resistant TB (M/XDR-TB) in the WHO European Region. It offers a snapshot of WHO/Europe’s work in support of health authorities and partners to prevent and control TB in the Region.

With the unprecedented engagement of Member States, civil society organizations, communities and key stakeholders, WHO/Europe finalized the Consolidated action plan to prevent and combat M/XDR-TB 2011–2015. The plan was unanimously endorsed at the 61st session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe in September 2011. This newsletter will feature follow-up activities and progress towards achievement of the plan’s ambitious goals.

This newsletter targets individuals, authorities and stakeholders interested in TB prevention and control in the Region. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
