Monitoring Food Marketing to Children in Turkey (2018)
This report shows that food was the most heavily advertised product category on television (TV) in Turkey, accounting for 32.1% of total advertisements, and most food advertisements on TV and online are for energy-dense, HFSS foods, or restaurant advertisements that do not comply with the WHO nutrient profile model (NPM).

European status report on preventing child maltreatment (2018)
This status report documents the progress that has been made by Member States in implementing the WHO European child maltreatment prevention action plan 2015–2020 at its midpoint. The plan has a target of a 20% reduction in child maltreatment and homicides by 2020.

Meeting on child health redesign in the WHO European Region (2018)
Global child mortality fell by half to less than 6 million deaths annually by the end of the Millennium Development Goal period. The transition to the Sustainable Development Goals framework provides an opportunity to reconsider and revise the global child health response to redesign programming on child health.

Improving the Quality of Care for Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health in the WHO European Region (2017)
This regional framework proposes a quality improvement (QI) system that extends across the Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) continuum and all levels of care and aims to achieve ‘‘effective coverage’’, meaning high and equitable coverage of quality care for all1 in order to reduce and eliminate preventable mortality and morbidity. It delineates activities to take place at regional, country and health facility levels.

Hospital care for children: quality assessment and improvement tool
This tool allows for a systematic, participatory assessment of the quality of care provided to children at hospital level, and for developing a plan of action to improve quality of care. The primary use of the tool falls within the scope of a quality improvement approach at national level. This second edition of the tool has been updated according to the new evidence and recommendations, previous experiences and lessons learned, and current emphasis given to patients’ rights and equity.

This diverse collection of case studies is presented in three volumes reflecting a “life-course” approach: Volume 1 addresses the early years, with examples from Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Volumes 2 and 3 address childhood and school.

As part of the European review of social determinants of health and the health divide, experts were commissioned to write case studies addressing childhood and inequality. They identified promising developments with international resonance, described the issues they addressed and how they were led and put into operation, and set out the emerging evidence of their effectiveness. Volume 2 addresses childhood, with examples from Armenia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Norway and Poland and two European projects.
