WHO collaborating centres are designated by the WHO Director-General to carry out activities in support of WHO’s programmes.This partnership working group meeting, held in Edinburgh, United Kingdom (Scotland) from 27 to 29 March 2011, provided an opportunity for collaborating centres and partners in the WHO European Region who have a focus on health promotion, public health and the social determinants of health to network with each other.It also allowed representatives from WHO and EuroHealthNet to describe essential areas of current work with a view to identifying how collaborating centres and partners can contribute.The report provides brief summaries of presentations, discussions and agreed actions arising from the meeting.
