Dissemination meeting - a rapid assessment of the accessibility and integration of TB, HIV and harm reduction services for people who inject drugs in Portugal (May 2012, Portugal)

The objectives of the meeting were:

To introduce the rapid assessment study as one element of a larger WHO-EC focus on “Scaling-up access to high quality harm reduction, treatment and care for injecting drug users in the European region”.

To present the objectives, methods and key findings of the rapid assessment, and to explore the two models of integration identified (combined vs. collaborative models) focusing on barriers and facilitators to access and integration of TB, HIV and drug treatment services for PWID.

To discuss ways to improve integration of HIV, TB, drug treatment and other services for PWID in Porto.
