Assessment of TB and HIV control programmes in Belarus

A WHO mission to assess the collaboration between TB and HIV programmes will be carried out 8-11 February 2011 in Minsk. The mission will be conducted by Dr Alberto Matteelli, WHO consultant on TB/HIV collaboration programs.

The aims of the mission are to assess the current level of collaboration between both HIV and TB control programmes and to provide recommendations for improvement in accordance with WHO recommendations. During the mission there will be meetings with national experts and representatives of nongovernmental organizations involved in HIV/TB care on treatment of TB, HIV and substitution therapy. There will be working meetings at the Ministry of Health.
