Review of the HIV Strategic Plan in Kosovo (in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999)) (2015)

A World Health Organization review of the Strategic Plan on HIV/AIDS of Kosovo (in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244/1999) was undertaken in October 2014. As part of a mission to carry out a HIV Programme review, meetings were held with various stakeholders about the status of the Kosovo Strategic Plan.

Through this process, the mission found that a well-designed Strategic Plan developed through wide consultation and carefully costed, had been developed for the period 2009-2013. While the duration of the Strategic Plan had ended, few of the strategies or interventions described in the Strategic Plan have been implemented.
